Ever step on a lego? If not consider yourself lucky! It hurts! My son always has different piles of legos throughout his room depending on what he is working on. I aim to remedy that with a lego desk for him. I am sharing how I turned a sewing desk into a lego desk.

Scraps to potting bench
I have seen so many awesome potting benches lately. It got me thinking I should make one, especially since I can't always seem to find what I am looking for. It doesn't help that my garage is stacked with projects to finish before winter. That makes it difficult to even get to some supplies. Anyone else with me?
I took some scraps and discarded pieces I had and turned them into a potting bench.

Update an outdated pot
My friend Mary asked if I wanted this pot. Little did she know what I was going to do with it. I took an outdated, or should I say, not my style pot and made it adorable. How, you ask?

Chippy goodness- a coffee table makeover
How do you intentionally make something chippy? I mean really chippy! This coffee table needed some tlc. Most importantly it needed a different way to dress it up. It was covered with that stone spray paint. You know the kind where the can sprays out little tiny pebbles of a couple of different colors to give it a stone texture?

Many of you have seen the table I made out of the door and mirror frame. This project is much simpler and uses the matching door.

French typography trays
I love the french furniture and accessories. When I found these trays I wanted to make them french just like the large french tray I did not too long ago since they are miniature versions of that tray.

Damask painted dresser
Wow! Has it been a busy few weeks. Besides all the big projects I have been doing, there is school shopping and checking off those last few summer outings. This dresser wasn't a very big makeover, but the transformation is stunning. Paint a large damask on the front of a dresser, and you get instant glam.

Plant stand- from champagne to white
It's no secret I love white. There is just something about things in white. It is so crisp and it can go anywhere! Today, let's paint a metal plant stand.

Update a vanity bench
This is another of my garage sale finds. Making over a vanity bench is an easy thing to do. If it doesn't have a seat like this one, no worries, you can just cut one from wood.
I painted it with La Craie in Magnolia. I cut a seat and covered it in foam, batting and some pretty green and white fabric.
Ah! So much better. Protected the finish with Vermont Natural Coatings wipe on poly-whey.
